Data Insight integrates with Symantec Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and lets you discover, monitor, and protect sensitive information residing in CIFS and NFS file shares. The integrated solution helps you discover sensitive information in your storage environment.
Data Insight uses the information about sensitive data it receives from DLP to:
- Identify the data owner.
- Investigate a data leak.
- Prioritize the remediation of folders.
To enable Data Insight to retrieve a list of sensitive files from DLP, you must configure the DLP communication settings.
