SEP - Component isolation

1. Disable Memory Exploit Mitigation.

If you have grayed out as the image, you need to disable it in the policy .

For disable it from the policy, go to the SEPM and to the group and edit Intrusion Protection policy :

After that , it will be disabled Memory Exploit mitigation, as the image.

2. Run the application - does it crash? If yes, proceed with step below,

3. Disable SONAR driver using the command as administrator type : sc config bhdrvx64 start= disabled and restart the computer,

4. Run the application - does it crash? If yes, proceed with step below,
 

5. Remove the Proactive Threat Protection module from Control Panel > Programs and Features and restart the computer,

6. Run the application - does it crash? If yes, proceed with step below,

7. Remove the Network Threat Protection module from Control Panel > Programs and Features and restart the computer,


 

8. Run the application - does it crash? If yes, proceed with step below,

9. Disable Auto-Protect driver using the command sc config srtsp start= disabled and sc config srtspx start= disabled and restart the computer,


10. Run the application - does it crash? If yes, proceed with step below,

11. Remove the Virus and Spyware Protection module from Control Panel > Programs and Features and restart the computer.

12. Run the application - does it crash? If yes, uninstall SEP and check again, if after the application is crashing still, there is no an issue related with SEP.
